Hounslow Community Network (HCN) is the representative body for voluntary and community groups in the borough. The network has expanded rapidly over the past few years and is continuing to collect new members, many of which are small local community groups.
HCN aims to bring together voluntary and community groups across the borough and by working together have a stronger local ‘voluntary sector voice’. We hold regular General Meetings which are open to all members and allow discussion of issues affecting the local voluntary and community sector (VCS) with representatives from statutory services such as the Council, NHS and Police.
HCN meetings are also a great way to meet and network with other local groups.
The Hounslow Community Network is steered by its members, from which an Executive Board is elected.
HCN also elects representatives from the voluntary and community sector (VCS) to sit on a number of strategic boards and partnership groups in the borough.
The Constitution covers:
- Mission Statement
- Roles of Network
- HCN Membership
- Structure of HCN
- Voting and Representation
- HCN Values and Equality Statement
- Relations with Other Local Networks
- Amendments to Constitution
Every year HCN produces a work plan containing the aims and objectives for the following 12 months. To see the HCN 12 month work plan for the period April 2019- March 2020 click here HCN Work Plan 2019
